I’ve named these pieces after compost for their weathered, aged feel and bits of leaf matter. Compost is largely plant debris that becomes nutrient rich with the decaying matter of the plants. Leaving behind dark, rich soil that aids in the production of new life. Renewed life.
These Compost Studs are made from sterling tube for a big look in an ultra lightweight earring. Each half inch stud has been given a weathered texture and adorned with a sprig of fern. They are oxidized to a deep black before receiving a matte finish that reveals all of the natural details.
These studs are made to order. Each pair will be unique, but very close to the pair that you see here in the sample photos.
Your studs will come (with sterling silver earnuts) on a Laurel and Lime jewelry card, inside of a floral-paper lined jewelry box. Each box is tied up with metallic twine and adorned with a leaf skeleton. These boxes are ready to gift!
