Open Shank rings have a certain dramatic appeal that isn't found in your typical band. The band has to be strong enough to hold its shape, bringing the two ends close, but stopping just short of touching. I wanted to highlight this drama with even more dramatic focal points.
This gorgeous, woodsy, powerful ring is handcrafted from solid sterling silver. The bark-textured pyramid band forms the foundation for the two separate sides of the ring. On one end a sparkling, fern green, rose cut Vesuvianite stone is sunk into a deep bezel of tree bark. On the opposing side, a shallow, bark shadowbox grows a triplet of succulents. These succulents almost appear as tiny roses. They were cast in solid silver to memorialize them forever. The two sides come together, though never quite touch.
This piece has a secret, hidden lucky star underneath the stone. You'll carry your own, private luck around with you whenever you wear this ring.
It is sized at 9.5 but because of the open band, it has a little wiggle room up to 10.5. The band can be gently stretched, but I wouldn't recommend "bending" it in any way.
The piece has been patinated to a deep black to bring out the texture before receiving a soft satin finish.
